The Top Spot:
The Suffern Mounties finished the hockey season by beating Pittsford in the Division 1 State Championship game 3-2 and Tuesday, they were congratulated by Rockland County Legislators Alden H. Wolfe and Joseph Meyers.

“We are pleased to recognize these fine young men,” said Legislator Wolfe. “This championship is their reward for the way they played their season – with skill, determination and teamwork. It's important to acknowledge that the team brought a spotlight to our entire County; not only for their skills on the ice, but for their respectful conduct and good sportsmanship. We are so proud of their accomplishments.”
Legislator Meyers said, “Our entire community is proud of the boys on the Championship Mounties and Coach Schelling and his assistant coaches. This winning season is the culmination of a proud hockey tradition in Ramapo Central and generations of hockey fans and families who support the excellent hockey program at Suffern High School."
Rockland County Legislator Patrick Moroney also for reaching the state’s final four.

Score: Nanuet Won 5-4
Highlights: Nick DiBenedetto got the win for Nanuet as he pitched three innings and struck out three. Matt Flannery went 1-5 and scored a run for the Golden Knights. Jeff Dempsey went 1-2 with a run and RBI for Rye.
Sport: Girls Lacrosse
Game: Nanuet vs. Westlake
Score: Nanuet Won 13-5
Highlights: Nanuet’s Shannon Booth scored four times and Jackie Fitzgerald scored three times. Allison Pedro led the defense with 12 saves.
Sport: Baseball
Game: Rye Neck vs. Albertus Magnus
Score: Albertus Magnus Won 6-5
Highlights: Casey Kern got the win for the Falcons as he pitched seven innings and collected six strike outs. Nico Denise went 2-4 with two RBI and a run in the win.
Sport: Girls Lacrosse
Game: Albertus Magnus vs. Clarkstown South
Score: Clarkstown South Won 9-7
Highlights: Terese Buechlo scored four times for Clarkstown South and Ashley Griggs scored twice. Lauren Gruffi and Casey Silvestri had three goals each in the loss.
