Nanuet Track Club Registration Open

The annual summer track & field program begins on June 20 and ends on July 16

 

Registration is under way for the 2013 Nanuet Track & Field Summer Program.  The four-week program is open to any Nanuet School District student entering grades two through nine in September.

No experience is needed. In addition to running, children will get chances to try hurdling, the long jump and shot put throw. It is an individual sport with team competitions. Coach Sheri Dempsey organizes the program to introduce young athlete's to track and field.

Practices begin on Thursday, June 20 at the Nanuet High School track starting at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. They will also be held Tuesday, June 25 and Thursday, June 27. Athletes will participate in the Summer Twilight Series at Suffern Middle School on July 2, 11 and 18 at beginning at 6 p.m. and Nanuet High School on July 9 and 16 starting at 6 p.m. 

Registration costs $95 and is due June 7. The fee includes insurance, a t-shirt and entry for the Summer Twilight Series. Late registration cost $115. Athletes must wear sneakers, shorts, T-shirts and bring a water bottle with their name on it to all practices and meets. An adult must accompany children younger than eight years old.
