Four Spots Left: Meals on Wheels NYC Marathon

Run for the team and help raise money for a great local cause.

Meals on Wheels Rockland is a member of the ING NYC Marathon Community Fundraising Program and the program granted Meals on Wheels a limited number of guaranteed places in this year’s marathon.

The Marathon is Nov. 6 and although that's a ways off, marathon training needs plenty of preparation time, especially for those new to it.

"Meals on Wheels Fund has four slots that are still available," said Stephen Kelly of Meals on Wheels. "Due to the limited number, slots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis."

"Be a part of Meals on Wheels' Marathon Team. Run the ING New York City Marathon 2011 and raise money to help fight elder hunger and loneliness," said Kelly. "In return for a minimum pledge of $2,500, Team Meals on Wheels members enjoy numerous benefits for their efforts, including guaranteed marathon entry, a personal fundraising webpage, advice on training and race day logistics."
