"I recently launched Walk4Good, a non-profit dedicated to inspiring and empowering people to practice kindness," said Baker. "Our organization is busy preparing for our inaugural event—I will be hiking the Appalachian Trail with Jessie, my dog, (all 2,180 miles from Maine to Georgia) in order to get people moving for Kindness."

"Jesse is a 4-year-old purebred retriever," Baker said. "Jesse is walking to raise awareness for five Labrador Retriever rescues. Every year, 3-4 million animals are euthanized and 1-2 million are purebreds like Jesse."

"I am so grateful and appreciative of the amazing comedians, Kerrie Louise, Tom Cotter, Adam Oliensis, Alyssa Wolfe, Christine Boudreau and Mark Riccadonna who donated their time and talents to make the event a huge success," added Baker. "The folks at Levity Live Comedy Club were also amazing and so wonderful to work with. It was an extremely special night that I know made people laugh and touched their hearts at the same time."

Walk4Good has visited many local elementary, middle and high schools as well as colleges and universities in the area in an attempt to mobilize people to dedicate a mile in order to spread kindness. So far, they have received 1,000 dedications. Dedications are free and if you want to dedicate a mile in honor of a loved one, just go to the website for more information.
