Restaurant Offers Free Meals for Those In Need

Stop by today and tomorrow from 4:30 - 8 p.m. at Union Restaurant for a complimentary buffet meal. Regular restaurant service is closed for these days

Many have fallen upon hard times and Union Restaurant and Bar Latino is hosting their 4th annual "We Care" event from Monday, Feb. 27 - Wednesday, Feb. 29 at 22-24 New Main St, Haverstraw.

Dedicated to making the world we live in a better place, Chef Jose David Martinez and Mr. Paulo Feteira launched their "We Care" Foundation as a way of giving back and saying ‘thank you’ to the community in 2009.

“So many of our friends and neighbors are still being affected by the ongoing economic crisis and we thought this was a perfect opportunity to show our gratitude by sharing our signature Latin Fusion cuisine and warm hospitality with them,” said Martinez.

Union is offering a complimentary buffet meal from 4:30 - 8 p.m. The restaurant will not be open for regular business during the 3-day period while hosting this event. If you would like to volunteer for the event, please contact Emily Dominguez, who will be coordinating the schedule. She can be reached at 845-947-8532.

Due to the popularity of this event, Union Restaurant expects that guests may experience a wait time to be seated due to capacity limits. NO alcoholic beverages will be served or allowed on the premises. An adult must accompany children under the age of 18 years old.
