Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.Look for the kids' planner each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips ‚ just add them to the comment box. Clarkstown South Troubadours Performance
 
 
When/Where: Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m./New City Library 
Why Go: Enjoy an evening of songs and music from the Clarkstown South High School Troubadours, some of the area’s most talented musicians. Directed by Kip Bonsignore.

TOTAL METS”  

When/Where: Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m./ Nanuet Public Library at 149 Church Street, Nanuet 
Why Go: “Total Mets,” the one book that every Mets fan needs. There will be a book signing with the author David Ferry, who grew up in Nanuet and graduated from the Nanuet Senior High School

Autism Speaks Fundraiser
  

When/Where: Saturday, June 8 at 1 p.m./Liquorland at 250 Route 59 in Suffern 
Why Go: Come down for Liquorland's Summer Tasting Event! It’s a fundraiser for Autism Speaks, which will be there along with plenty of support and information. There will be over 100 wines & spirits for sampling, cooking demonstrations by Marcello of Marcello's of Suffern, Brotherhood America’s Oldest Winery's wine master Cesar Baeza will make a special guest appearance, and Citibank of Suffern is supplying fun kid activities outside. It's going to be a great day for an amazing Cause!  10% of all proceeds that day go to the Autism Speaks Foundation.

50th Anniversary of St. John’s Episcopal Church 
  

When/Where:
 Sunday, June 9 at 10 a.m. /St. John's Episcopal Church at 365 Strawtown Road in New City 
Why Go: St. John’s will celebrate the 50th anniversary (1963-2013) of the dedication of the current church building. The Rt. Rev. Andrew D. Smith, Assistant Bishop of New York, will officiate the Service of Rededication. Lunch and a demonstration by the Amazing Grace Circus will follow. This anniversary is the first of a two-part celebration concluding in 2016 with the 150th anniversary of the founding of St. John's Church.
